The app utilizes advanced technology along with weather data to determine the most efficient watering schedule for your yard. By using smart watering mode, B-hyve users can save up to 50% more water compared to a traditional controller.

Weather:
B-hyve employs local weather data to calculate the amount of water lost through evaporation and transpiration each day, ensuring that your plants receive the appropriate amount of water. The app also takes into account forecasted rainfall and adjusts the watering schedule accordingly. In addition, B-hyve considers factors such as soil type, plant type, sun/shade exposure, and slope to prevent runoff and deliver water directly to the roots.

WeatherSense:
If you prefer to have more control over the schedule, B-hyve allows you to set custom programs while still benefiting from local weather data. This feature enables the app to override watering during a weather event, such as rain, and resume your program once the rain has passed.

Integrated Irrigation Audit Tool:
The B-hyve app includes an irrigation audit tool that provides accurate information on the amount of water applied by your sprinkler system. By performing a catch cup test, you can determine the precise water usage rather than relying on estimated sprinkler head water use provided by other timers or apps. This feature can lead to significant water and cost savings.

This app is designed for use with the popular and certified Orbit B-hyve Smart Wifi Sprinkler Timer. It is also compatible with the Hydro-Rain B-hyve Pro Wifi Controller, making it suitable for homeowners using either device.
